Tightwire Playground 2019
SeedArts' created the Tightwire Playground following a 3 week residency at the Quad Arts precinct in Lismore September 2019 to celebrate the birthplace of the world's greatest tight wire walker ever, Con Colleano. Con was a First Nation's man and the first to master the impossible foot-to-foot front sault on the tight wire.
The Tightwire Playground presented professional tightwire performances by Company 2 (Chelsea McGuffin, Neisha Hinsch and Lachy Shelly) and long standing highwire performer, Ashley Brophy. The SeedArts team of creative designers developed a tight wire playground for participants of all ages to challenge their balance skills using beam, ropes, bars and slack lines for the Lismore Children's Festival, September 21, 2019. Audiences estimated at 600 people.
Supported by Lismore City Council's place-making program and SeedArts Australia's philanthropic donors. Thank you for your generosity.
